Not all of those that have been discovered have been excavated or examined, so there may well be surprises in store.
It has been said that the Maltese islands not only have a prehistory that is worth bothering about, but that all the prehistory worth bothering about happened on the Maltese islands.
But pre-history is about more than an inexplicable number of ‘temples’. It is about the people who built them, about how they lived and what else they had built, at an earlier date.
