Description
This book is written and brought together in honour of an ample and selfless lifework of Guido Lanfranco. The book bears a forward by Desmond Morris and includes papers by prominent scholars in the field of folklore and science. The first part aims to provide readers with some understanding of who Guido Lanfranco is, and what his main contributions are. Part Two consists of nineteen chapters, each based on original research and written especially for this book. While many of the authors are scholars and leaders in their fields, the chapters are written in an accessible style and with the non-specialist reader in mind. In keeping with Lanfranco’s own interests, the two areas covered are the biological sciences and popular culture.
