Description
It was an auspicious coincidence one January morning in 2002, when Mrs Cecilia Xuereb and Dr Paul Xuereb visited the exhibition of Drawings by the Baroque master Mattia Preti at the National Museum of Fine Arts; they took the opportunity on that occasion to broach the possibility of donating an album of drawings by the 20th century master, Willie Apap, a unique collection that had been carefully preserved throughout the 50 years since its creation.
