Although windmills were once a popular sight, Ta’ Kola Windmill in Xagħra, Gozo, is now one of the very few surviving on the Maltese Islands. This illustrated publication presents an overview about the history of windmills on the islands, the basic components of a windmill and the standard requirements for the location of a windmill. Readers can also follow in detail the process of the project by Heritage Malta which entailed the restoration of the windmill, the reconstruction of missing parts and the installation of the newly reconstructed components. Brief information and photos about the last miller at Ta’ Kola Windmill are also included.
