Malta earned this unique honour for the heroic resistance of its civilian population in the face of one of the harshest sieges of the Second World War. Fear of death and destruction came second in importance to hunger and depravation of all that is essential to everyday life. Since its inauguration in April 1992, thousands have seen the theatre multivision production of Malta George Cross – The Wartime Experience. Now it is also available on DVD, an ideal souvenir for all those who have seen it, and a chance to share this experience for those who have not had the same opportunity.
