This book was inspired by the kilometres covered by Immanuel Mifsud in ten European countries: The Czech Republic, France, finland, Spain, Poland, Slovakia, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Slovenia, Croatia and Australia. The poems range from personal documents to the poe’s reactions to some of the most significant historical events o these different places, such as the Czechoslovak Velvet Revolution, the distegration of Yugoslavia, the Polih scar of the Holocaust, and the diverse experiences of Communist regimes in these countries.
Published by Klabb Kotba Maltin a year after Malta joined the European Union, km, documents the voyag of a writer who sets sail from the periphery to the centre of a continent with a troubled history of empires, blood and iron curtains.
