This work also includes an inedited report of the inspection of the coastal towers of Malta in 1743 carried out by Maltese officials of the Order of St. John and of the Universitas of Valletta, Vittoriosa and Senglea.This work also mentions episodes of the exploits of Maltese corsairs in the Mediterranean Sea during the 18th century, and the interesting lives of some prominent Maltese individuals Auditor Gaetano Bruno, Naval Architect Guiseppe Maurin and Bandmaster Filippo Galea of the 1st Battalion, 57th Regt of Foot.
