Dr Zolina’s achievement lies in the way she managed to inspire and gently persuade the many illustrious contributors – Maltese, Russian, German, French and Canadian – all of them experts in their field to give their best. This book, which in itself is a real feat of research, will surely be challenging many preconceptions about Russo-Maltese relations.
One remarkable aspect is the shifting in and out of different viewpoints thus rendering kaleidoscopic vistas of breadth and depth comprising profound historical research, artistic essays and personal recollections.
