The idea behind this publication was conceived on 8th March, 2010, at an event marking International Women’s Day. CareMalta’s Chief Executive Natalie Briffa Farrugia spoke about a dream she had…. that of a collection of a hundred stories of female residents at CareMalta’s homes for the elderly to mark the first centenary of International Women’s Day. Her message struck a chord with Janet Silvio whose passion for writing was evident to Natalie. Work on this book started soon after.
The Publication of ‘100 women, 100 stories’ coincides with the launch of CareMalta’s new brand identity. This development comes at a time when CareMalta is working to consolidate the success it has achieved in the past 18 years but with a forward looking plan to further expand and develop its areas of operations in the future.
CareMalta is the largest and leading private care provider for the elderly on the islands. To-date it operates 7 renowned faculties for the elderly in various towns and villages. It also employs over 600 highly dedicated and trained personnel and takes care of around 900 residents.
