Practically every country, as well as Malta, considers game food as a delicacy and the consumption of game has always formed part of the Maltese rural diet. However, and even though thousands of cookbooks have been written about the local cuisine, with some of them containing a few game recipes, there is still no specialist game cookbook, yet!
One of the senior editor’s ambitions, over several years, was the publication of this game cookbook, and together with the recently (2021) appointed young President of the Federation of Hunting and Conservation- Malta (FKNK), with similar determination and enthusiasm to pursue the publication of such a book, we decided on the publicaction of this unique book, Game Recipes from Malta, by the FKNK in collaboration with local professional renowned chefs, as well as a memento of the FKNK’s 50th anniversary (which was celebrated on the 17 September 2023)
