Although Anthony Miceli-Farrugia was born in Malta, he was brought up and educated mainly in Messina where he lived with his parents, Marco Antonio Miceli and Erminia Farrugia.
This is a first-hand account of the Malta links of the Miceli family, dating back to 1800 when Anthony’s great-great-grandfather, Antonio, married in Riposto, Sicily. His account takes in the family’s investment and his lifelong link with farsons, of which Anthony Miceli-Farrugia was Managing Director from 1956 to 1980 and Chairman from 1972 to 1995.
It is also Nini’s recollections, a few months before he passed away, of his life and his contribution to Maltese society over a span of 70 years.
