Tesserae, Heritage Malta’s journal of heritage appreciation, conservation and management, is back. This issue (12) was scheduled for spring 2021, but the Agency’s publishing arm was forced to delay the delivery by eighteen months due to the unprecedented circumstances triggered by the outbreak of COVID-19.

Looking back, this unplanned pause served as an opportunity to ameliorate the contents and presentation of this bi-annual publication, which is, little by little, growing into a highly esteemed series. Tesserae is the only local periodical that covers the entire breadth of the wide spectrum of disciplines and professions embraced by the heritage sector.
